Steve’s very first pantomime part was Wolf in Red Riding Hood at the Library Theatre Luton. Since then Steve has played Buttons, Wishy Washy, Silly Billy, Simple Simon the list is endless.
Since those day’s Steve plays an excellent traditional pantomime dame complete with his own very surreal dame frocks, pantomime songs and comedy routines.
In 2007 Steve played Dame Dolly Dumpling at the Palace Theatre Newark with (Allo Allo’s) Kim Hartman and (Eastenders) Andrew Lynford. Steve stopped the show with his hilarious antics and pantomime costumes!

More recently Steve played Dame Widow Twankey with great success at Lincoln's Theatre Royal with Cannon and Ball and Robin Askwith.
The best “ONE MAN MUSIC HALL SHOW” available Steve Barclay is out there on his own as he pays tribute to those legendary greats including Max Miller, Billy Bennett, George Formby, Max Wall, Ken Dodd, Morcambe & Wise and even one of Steve's own favourites “Two Ton Tessie O’Shea. Add to this a live audience a live band and you have a splendid cocktail of pure British Variety Music Hall at its very best. Variety Music Hall was never so good as in this ingenious magic carpet ride from music hall to variety.
